Milton Keynes College is recruiting an Administrator to join the Prison Education team at HMP Erlestoke.
As an Administrator, you will be a capable and experienced administrator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will provide a high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders at the prison and the wider College team.
This opportunity involves supporting the Department Manager in the day-to-day administration and operations of the department. Your ability to work on your own initiative is critical for this role and you will need to have a flexible and resilient approach to your work as it will be varied.

About HMP Erlestoke:
HMP Erlestoke is a Category C prison, holding approximately 444 adult male sentenced offenders. The prison is built on the former grounds of Erlestoke Manor House and has expanded in both offender numbers and intervention programmes. HMP Erlestoke’s focus is firmly fixed on reducing reoffending and preventing future victims of crime by preparing offenders for their release through accredited intervention programmes, skill and vocational based training and education, in a pro social environment.
Courses at HMP Erlestoke include Maths, English, IT, Horticulture, Carpentry, Cleaning and Support Services, Hospitality, Creative Craft, Customer Service, Team Leading, Learning Support and much more.
The education delivery hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 11.30am, 2.00pm – 4.30pm and on Fridays 8.30am – 11.30am.
Erlestoke staff and learners get involved with various projects each year. In 24/25 Erlestoke held an archaeological dig and a two week Arts festival “ Penned Up “ giving learners the opportunity to hear from authors refreshing attitudes ,thinking and developing a focus on reading.
Erlestoke issues an internal magazine highlighting various events, projects and support alongside articles, interviews and shared experiences as well as promoting well-being and education.
