The School and Role

This welcoming, Secondary school in the Liverpool area are looking to appoint an outgoing and passionate Teaching Assistant to provide support across KS3-KS4. The role will be full-time, working Mon-Fri, 08:30am-3:30pm, starting immediately, and will be ongoing until at least December 2024. The role will require the successful candidate to provide support both in a small group, and the occasional one-to-one setting. There will be a particular need for assistance with the core subjects; English, Maths and Science, with a focus on GCSE preparations. This voluntary aided school gained specialist Sports College status in 2000, and is administered by Liverpool City Council and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Liverpool. The school was marked as 'Good' in all areas following their latest Ofsted inspection.

Requirements

The desired Learning Support Assistant will have;

- Experience of working with secondary school aged children

- Experience working with children with a SEND background/on a 1-1 basis

- A passion for the progress of secondary school pupils

- An ability to work as part of a team

- Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
