The school accommodates for students with complex medical needs and Severe Learning Difficulties. The Learning Support Assistants play an essential role in providing a safe and productive learning environment.

Pre-requisities:

• Show superb communication skills with children, young people, their carers and other agencies
• Be proactive and show initiative
• Plan and prioritise under pressure
• Be a trustworthy role model in and around our school community
• Respect and maintain confidentiality whilst adhering to safeguarding principles at all times
• Demonstrate you really care about children, particularly those who find learning and managing their behaviour difficult.
• Demonstrate that you have the necessary skills and experience transferrable to a Special Needs Education Setting.
