Learning Support Practitioner - St. Austell Campus - Actual pro rata salary* £9,448.31 plus holiday payment of £1,380.91, £13.37 per hour (Full time equivalent salary £22,442.65) - Hours per week: 22.5 - Weeks per year: 36 (Term Time) - Closing Date 19 September 2024 - Interviews: 26 September 2024

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Practitioner (LSP) to contribute to the delivery of our Additional Learning Support (ALS) provision for adult and apprentice learners with additional needs. This may include travel to offsite provisions.

The purpose of the role is to support individual or small groups of learners in the achievement of their learning goals and the development of independent life and employability skills. A Learning Support Practitioner (LSP) may also support learners with communication, behaviour, emotional difficulties and social anxiety. LSPs will aim to work with learners to develop independent study skills and strategies to assist in their own learning.

It is desirable that you are qualified to level 2 or above in Literacy and Numeracy, or any other SEND-related training or qualifications are also desirable. Applicants may also be considered based on significant skills within a vocational area, as part of strengths-based support deployment.
