Based at our Camborne campus, we are looking for a multi-skilled, proactive person to join our Additional Learning Support (ALS) team to co-construct and monitor support provisions for a specific case load of learners. The role involves providing support for learners through the delivery of outstanding transition activities, including baseline assessment of needs which result in a demonstrable impact on progress. This will include holding person-centred Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews to help provide the best offer for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Training will be provided for this activity.

The person must have a sound understanding of EHCPs, as well as continuously and positively promote progression for all learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). They will be involved in the support a young person requires throughout their learner experience, constantly reviewing and refining the offer to support positive futures. The appropriate candidate will have experience linked to the responsibilities of the role, and a passion or interest for Additional Learning Support, and inclusion.

The successful applicant will be based at Camborne, but travel will be essential across parts of The Cornwall College Group, as will visits to external stakeholders as required.

The role will consist of working with other ALS Case Workers, under the guidance of our ALS Manager for the site / locality.
