Employment Job Coach

Employment Job Coach
37 hours per week, 36 weeks per year
£26,489 - £28,269 per annum pro rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Job coach to join our Inclusive Learning and MINT team to support our students on our Pre-employment Ticket course at our Easton Campus. This course works to support students to develop their employability skills and to prepare them for future work in land based/outdoor practical roles.

As an Employment job coach, you will work alongside the course tutor to support our students with a range of different disabilities and difficulties to access a range of onsite/offsite work placements.

You will support and coach young people to be work ready and devise strategies to support them to cope effectively with the everyday challenges that the workplace can bring.

You will build effective working relationships with employers and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that our students succeed during their work experience.

You will support the course tutor to deliver course content and manage the day-to-day workload of placements for students on our Ticket course. In addition to this you will work with students on a 1:1 basis and in a mixture of workplace/classroom settings.

Knowledge or experience of using TSI training (Training in Systematic Instruction) would be an advantage.

We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service. Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date.
