Salary: : £23,417.94 FTE / CC_28 / 12.17 per hour (actual pro-rata salary £18,013.80 plus holiday pay £2,632.79, total pro-rata salary £20,646.59, £13.95 per hour)

Terms & Conditions: Term Time (37 hours/40 weeks), Support Contract

Position Overview
-
Based at Duchy College, we are looking for a Student Engagement Officer to support our students to have a fantastic experience on campus. In this role you will be engaging directly with students within our social spaces and learning centres to plan, promote and implement a range of enrichment and personal development activities, including study skills. The post-holder will work with students to overcome barriers to engagement with college life and to promote contribution to the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

-
  • Post-holders will work in the social spaces on campus. Post-holders will actively work with learners and will not be primarily office or desk based.
  • Will plan, offer and support enrichment and personal development activities on the campus.
  • Will undertake activities within the social space and across campus to support personal development activities.
  • Will ensure that learners behave appropriately within the social space and encourage positive behaviour and attitudes amongst our learners.
  • Will support learners with running community, charity and social events.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience required:

  • Minimum level 2 pass in English and Maths
  • Current L2 Safeguarding (or will be completed within 3 months in role)
  • Prevent training (or will be completed within 3 months in role)
