About the Role

The School of Digital & IT at Printworks Campus continues to lead the way for Digital and IT innovations in teaching and learning and, as such, is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and forward-thinking pastoral coach to support our students through their educational journey. Expertly supporting students and supporting their attendance, Personal Development and behaviours to inspire them to excellence and success at all levels of study and beyond.

We are looking for someone who displays an enthusiasm for teaching, learning and educating and supporting young people, utilising new and emerging technologies in the curriculum which is key to this role.

If you feel that you have the enthusiasm, drive, skills and ability to fulfil this role, we would like to hear from you, especially if you have skills in coaching and mentoring techniques.

What You Will Do
  • Be responsible for a caseload of students who require coaching and online support as part of their planned learning programme in Digital and IT.
  • To track and monitor progress towards achievement using assessment grades in ProMonitor markbooks, ensuring learner progress is tracked against their target grades.
  • Identify barriers to learning and implement a range of strategies to overcome barriers with students.
  • Support the increasing use of technology for independent/online learning whilst maintaining the quality of the learning experience.
  • To manage learning in a variety of spaces, creating a positive and focused Digital and IT experience.
About You
  • English and Mathematics at Level 2 or above and a willingness to improve in one or both disciplines to level 3 or above.
  • Demonstrates significant experience or
    knowledge of how to work successfully with different groups of students enrolled to vocational courses where English and maths is an integral part of the study programme.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines, using own initiative.
  • Ability to innovate and enthuse learners to succeed in English and Maths.
  • Ability to effectively utilise coaching and mentoring skills.
