A client of mine are currently offering a fantastic opportunity at the UKs leading technical training centre for a dedicated Electrical / Electronic Engineering Lecturer / Instructor to share their knowledge and expertise, at an outstanding Further Education College in the North Yorkshire area. They have exceptional engineering facilities, and a leading reputation in providing high-quality education to full-time students and apprentices.

Teaching experience is desirable, but not required as they are happy to provide full training and support for suitable candidates straight from industry or university.

This is a full-time, permanent role, with a flexible start date.

Job Description

  • Teach BTEC and T-Level Electrical / Electroni Engineering
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons, both theoretical and practical
  • Assess and provide feedback on student progress
  • Create and update course materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of a diverse group of learners
  • Provide support and guidance to apprentices throughout their training journey
  • Assess and evaluate student work to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements
  • Collaborate with industry professionals to enhance the apprenticeship program

Required Skills and Experience

  • Hold a relevant qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Have substantial industry experience in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical and electronic principles
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
