Spencer Clarke Group is working with an outstanding secondary school in Lancaster to recruit a passionate and dedicated Biology/Science Teacher for a maternity cover role starting in October 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing school known for its supportive teaching environment and commitment to student success.

• Teach Science and Biology across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential
• Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school's vibrant and inclusive learning environment
• Potential to teach Key Stage 5 (A-Level Biology) - desirable but not essential

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a specialism in Science or Biology
• Have a proven track record of excellent teaching at KS3 and KS4
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
• Be adaptable, with excellent communication and organisational skills

• Work in a school rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, with a focus on academic excellence and student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
