Position: Lecturer - Preparation for Adulthood (SEND)

Salary: £29,820 - £36,749 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 37 Hours hour per week X 52 Weeks week per year

About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and complex needs? Do you thrive in a supportive, inclusive environment where every student's potential is nurtured and celebrated? If so, we want you to join our dynamic team at Sheffield College.

You will be joining the colleges exciting new specialist Preparation for Adulthood provision, teaching and supporting young people with complex needs. The role will encompass that of a teacher and personal tutor, with delivery of independent living and work skills and community-based activities. There will also be opportunities to contribute towards EHCP reviews and curriculum planning.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Tailored Lessons: Create and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the individual needs and encompass the personal targets of our students.

Support Holistic Development: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff and external partners, to ensure the holistic development of each student.

Inspire and Motivate: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, understood, and empowered.

Monitor Progress: Regularly assess and report on student progress, adapting your teaching strategies to ensure continued development.

Engage with Families: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring they are fully involved in their child's education and progress.
