About the Role

We are seeking a GCSE English Lecturer to join our team in London. You will teach English to young people engaged in creative programmes of study including music, media, games development, events and Esports. You will make English relevant to our young people, through your inclusive lesson planning and delivery. You will mark and assess learner work, setting high expectations and motivating them to be the best they can be. You will have an understanding of methods and good practice in"reviewing and evaluating teaching & learning and behaviour management"strategies .

This is a permanent role based at our brand-new London campus. Purpose-built and designed, it is a 19,000-square-foot creative hub for gaming, esports, music, media and computing situated in London's East End.

About you

You will be a role model, providing learners with an exceptional educational experience that will enable them to maximise their potential. You will have up-to-date knowledge and an understanding of the GCSE English curriculum and experience with exam board requirements. You will hold GCSE English and maths at Grade 5/C or above and you will have a degree in a related subject.

A teaching qualification is desirable but if you don't have one, Access Creative College will fund and support you to get one. A successful track record of delivering GCSE English would be the icing on the cake, however, this could be an ideal development opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or English graduate looking to get into teaching.

You will work with experienced, passionate tutors as well as with a support service provided by our Central Team. Working at Access Creative College means working with learners who are engaged and enthusiastic about the education they are gaining.

Salary Scale: £30,750-37,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
