Lecturer B – Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering

37 hours per week

£32,408 to £39,316 per annum

Bolton College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Lecturer with industry / subject specialist knowledge to enhance and develop the T Level Specialism in Engineering and Manufacturing.

Ideally, you will have:

• A relevant HNC/D/ Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent) or willingness to undertake one
• Level 2 Maths and English qualifications
• Teaching experience in a relevant curriculum area
• Experience of assessing students at Level 3 in Engineering

Day-to-day you will have responsibility:

• To support the Curriculum Leader by co-ordinating and supervising a small team in the delivery of high quality and inclusive provision within a curriculum area.
• To deliver high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
• To support the curriculum management on curriculum and course development.
• To take part and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
• Develop resources, support teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required.
• To support the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
• Comply with all College policies and procedures and maintain personal compliance.
