Do you want to carve a career in teaching but still work with animals? This job is best suited to an individual who is very practical and knowledgeable handling and caring for a range of species but also has the depth of knowledge that can be shared in the classroom. This job will mean you will spend plenty of time with the animals in a practical context as well as time with students in the classroom sharing your expertise.

Based at Bicton College, we are looking for an experienced individual to join the dynamic Animal Management teaching team. The role includes tutoring, teaching and assessing learners in a range of animal subjects both in the classroom and in a practical environment. We are focussed on a rich, rewarding and high quality experience for our students.

We are looking for candidates with a broad experience in the animal industry and a very hand on approach. Knowledge in specific species would be preferred as our animal collection is broad and we need expertise to match.

Animal Science based qualifications at a minimum level 4 or above are required. A teaching qualification is desirable. It is essential to be willing to work towards a teaching qualification if one is not currently held.
