  • Salary: £25,119 per annum - £27,334 per annum
Are you passionate about animal welfare and education? Do you want to shape the next generation of animal care professionals? We are looking for a dedicated Technician Demonstrator to play a crucial role in our educational and animal activities!

Enhance Educational and Vocational Training

Develop and Deliver Curriculum: Design and deliver practical schemes of work focused on building learners' vocational skills. Assess and record skill development according to academic and professional standards.

Student Supervision and Support: Actively supervise and guide students during Routine Duties/Work Experience sessions. Ensure they gain valuable hands-on experience in maintaining our diverse animal collection to the highest welfare standards.

Operational and Animal Care Excellence

Animal Welfare Oversight: Supervise the Animal Centre, ensuring optimal welfare conditions and compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage daily tasks including feeding, medication administration, and maintaining clean and safe animal accommodations.

Resource Management: Maintain physical resources, manage inventory, and ensure all equipment is clean and fit for purpose. Oversee the ordering of supplies and completion of health and safety checks within budget and time constraints.

Contribute to a Team and Community Environment

Team Collaboration and Community Engagement: Work closely with the Head of Animal Studies to improve facility utilisation and provision. Engage with the community to support educational events and student placements.
