We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw Campus to join us as a Site Duty Officer on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis.

As Site Duty Officer you will be the main centralised contact person at your campus location and will work in collaboration with premises, reception, health and safety, curriculum departments and student support (safeguarding & pastoral) to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors. You will act as the initial point of contact and respond to incidents or concerns. You will document all actions taken and refer the incident or issue to the relevant College department or student support team to ensure an appropriate and effective response. You will ensure that the campus environments are safe, with a focus on managing Health and Safety compliance, First Aid, and Fire regulations supporting the campus estate strategy and coordinating space for college wide events.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified to Level 4 or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of Level 2 English and Maths, or equivalent.
  • First Aid qualifications (or willingness to work towards).
  • Safeguarding (or willingness to work).
  • Experience of working with young people/adults in an education or similar environment.
  • Experience of managing incidents under pressure.
  • Experience of managing challenging behaviours.
