The Manchester College is based at many sites across the city, each with its own specialist cutting edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest FE College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.

We are looking for a Campus Safety Officer to join us on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis (Term Time Only is also available).

This is a college wide role and could be allocated to any of our 5 sites depending on requirements. As Campus Safety Officer you will work in collaboration with Site Duty Officers, Campus Cohesion Officers, curriculum departments and student support (safeguarding & pastoral) to ensure learners, staff, visitors, and college premises are safe and secure. They will act as an initial point of contact and respond to incidents or concerns. The Campus Safety Officer will document all significant interactions using the college's reporting processes ensuring all records are completed timely including actions taken and refer the incident or issue to the relevant College department or student support team to ensure an appropriate and effective response.

To contribute towards supporting the college to maintain a safe and harmonious environment taking responsibility for promoting a safe campus site and reporting concerns that could put students or staff at risk.

In order to do this role, you will need:

  • SIA Level 2 Door Supervisor (or willingness to work towards).
  • SIA CCTV Operator (or willingness to work towards).
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills (minimum level 2).
  • Level 3 First Aid at Work (or willingness to work towards).
  • Trauma informed Training (or willingness to work towards).
  • Fire Marshall Training.
  • ACT Security Training.
