Are you ready to make a significant impact both on the field and in the classroom? We are seeking a versatile and committed Level 4 Sports Tutor who is equally passionate about delivering GCSE English. This dual role requires you to balance the rigours of sports coaching with the academic challenges of teaching English. You will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging sports sessions that foster physical skills, teamwork, and a love for healthy competition. Simultaneously, you will guide students through the complexities of the GCSE English curriculum, helping them develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills. Your role will involve designing and implementing lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that every student is engaged and motivated. You will be assessing student progress in both sports and English, providing feedback that encourages improvement and confidence. Collaboration with colleagues will be key, as you integrate sports and academic objectives into a cohesive educational experience. Whether you're on the sports field or in the classroom, your goal will be to inspire students to achieve their best, both physically and academically.

About you:

You are an enthusiastic educator who thrives in both the energetic environment of sports coaching and the academic setting of an English classroom. With a Level 4 qualification in Sports Coaching or a related field, you have a solid foundation in coaching principles and the practical skills to help students excel in various sports disciplines. Additionally, you possess a strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum, with the ability to engage students in literature and language, fostering a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom. Your communication skills are exceptional, enabling you to convey complex ideas in a way that is accessible and engaging to students of all abilities. You are organised and adept at managing the dual demands of sports and English instruction, ensuring that each receives the attention it deserves. Creativity and adaptability are among your strengths, allowing you to design innovative lesson plans that make learning enjoyable and effective. Above all, you are committed to the holistic development of your students, recognising the importance of nurturing both their physical and intellectual growth.

Qualifications:

Essential
  • GCSE Maths & English grade 4 or above
  • 3 A-levels or equivalent (Level 3, BTEC etc.)
  • A degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject area. (Sports Science, Sports Coaching)
  • UEFA C or above
  • A recognised Post 16 teaching qualification (PGCE, DTLLS A1 Award)

What do we have on offer?

Salary Scale:£29,232 - £33,000 per annum depending on skills qualifications and experience.
