An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Abingdon & Witney College as a Lecturer in Carpentry. You will mainly be responsible for teaching full time 16-18-year-olds on full time courses at our Witney campus.

If you are passionate about your trade and love sharing your skills with others, then we would like to hear from you. You don't need to be a qualified teacher - we will teach you to teach! We just ask that you are motivated by helping others to learn, and that you really want to make a difference to people's lives.

If you are already an experienced lecturer, then we'd like to hear from you too. We know that you will find Abingdon & Witney College different to other colleges. Our Strategic Plan is based around the philosophy of Be You. Be Extraordinary. We firmly believe that we do enable our students to be themselves and to be extraordinary, whatever that means for them. But we're confident that we will do that for staff too. If you want to join a college that is wholeheartedly committed to staff and student well-being, where the culture genuinely revolves around putting students first and helping them to achieve extraordinary things, then look no further!

Successful applicants will be passionate about delivering the very highest quality of teaching, learning and assessment, and be fully committed to supporting their students to achieve at the highest possible level. In return, we will support you to be the very best teacher you can be, and to develop your career and professional interests in a way that works for you.

Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.

In return, Abingdon & Witney College offer excellent benefits to our employees including generous pension and holiday schemes (with potential Christmas closure days), continued professional development, flexible working options, corporate gym membership, cycle/tech scheme and much more.
