37 hours per week • Term time only • £19,850 p/a pro rata • Permanent • September 2024 start

Long Road is a thriving, successful post 16 Sixth Form College with 2,400 students on roll in post-16 studies. Conveniently located close to the M11 and A14, the college is set in the thriving and expanding city of Cambridge, next to the Biomedical Campus within its own attractive grounds. In this role, you will provide a technical service to staff and students in the Visual and Performing Arts department, with specific responsibilities to Design & Technology in order to provide and maintain a high-quality offer to Students. Previous experience of working within a Workshop is essential, as you will be demonstrating the use of workshop machinery, tools and computing techniques and processes to Staff and Students, as well as being responsible for the maintenance of equipment and stock.

Previous knowledge of COSHH & CLEAPPS legislation is required, as well as a willingness to undertake First Aider training.  The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to working hours, including working weekly twilight hours, and good team working and communication skills.
