Salary/Benefits: Rate up to £21.50

Hours/Weeks: 4.5 hrs per Week. Working Hours: Weds 10:45 to 4:30

About the role:

Tresham College are currently seeking an Associate Lecturer to join our Performing Arts Department at our Kettering Campus

As an Associate Lecturer in Performing Arts, you will play a key role in the success of our students through:
  • Preparing, delivering and assessing subject specialisms on a range of courses.
  • Undertaking course administration as necessary.
  • Contributing to developments within the Programme Area/Centre.
  • Contributing to curriculum development and course leadership where appropriate.
About you:
  • Degree and/or vocational training at an equivalent level in a relevant subject
  • Willingness to work towards Certificate in Education/PGCE or equivalent
  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 or equivalentExperience of working with a wide range of professional Industry and research practices,
  • Recent experience as a teacher, trainer, instructor or workshop facilitator
  • Experience of working constructively to achieve team objectives and deadlines
  • Experience of using IT and a willingness to develop multimedia approaches to learning
  • Evidence of high performancein previous roles/jobs
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to demonstrate evidence of strong make up skills
  • Ability to complete administrative tasks accurately and within timescales
  • Ability to use a variety of computer packages confidently
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing

What is an Associate?
Associates work on a short term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you. Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.
