22.2 hours per week

£32,408 - £39,316 (pro rata) per annum

 

Bolton College is looking to appoint a Lecturer B in Art and Design to support the Curriculum Leader by co-ordinating a small team of staff in the delivery of a range of BTEC Art and Design programmes within the Visual Arts and Interactive Media department.    We are looking for a dynamic and innovative individual with a passion for achieving excellence through delivering a first class quality service at all times. 

 

Ideally, you will have:

  • Degree in a relevant subject.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent).
  • Level 2 Maths and English qualifications.
  • Experience of successful course management.
  • Experience of leading and motivating a small team of staff.
  • Experience of student-centred methods of curriculum delivery.
  • Experience of teaching on all funding streams – adults, community and 16-18 year olds.

Day-to-day you will have responsibility:

  • To deliver high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
  • To support the curriculum management on curriculum and course development.
  • To take part and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
  • Develop resources, support teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required.
  • To support the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
