An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Games Development to join our Digital team at The Joseph Wright Centre in Derby. The Opportunity

In this role, you will participate in the planning, preparation, course delivery, and assessment of Level 2 and 3 Games Development to our students. You will possess the ability to teach the following key skills:

  • 2D and 3D animation
  • 3D modelling and texturing
  • Rendering
  • Game design
  • Visual programming (drag and drop)
  • Concept art
  • Rigging
  • Blueprint programming (drag and drop)


About you

You will be a flexible, dedicated, and motivated professional. You will hold a relevant specialist degree and a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards obtaining this.

Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential in this role.
