Regional Facilities Manager

About the role:

London and South East Academic Trust is looking for a Regional Facilities Manager to lead the Statutory Compliance and Preventative Planned Maintenance Operations throughout The London and South East Academies Trust (LSEAT).

As a member of the Facilities department, the Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that a professional Facilities operational service is delivered to the Academies. This includes providing operational management for all estates, hard and soft facilities management services and designated projects ensuring that appropriate legislative, health and safety and other mandatory compliance requirements are met.

To undertake and assist in undertaking all relevant activities to deliver estates services in line with our SLA standards and operation targets and frequencies.

To deputise on behalf of the Assistant Director Facilities Management Operations in their absence - in relation to the Academies -, to coordinate and manage the delivery of all estates services/activities to achieve not less than 95% statutory compliance.

The successful candidate should demonstrate a similar level of expertise and experience in ensuring that:
  • All works are carried out in accordance with appropriate guidance, legislation, directives and regulations, including Building Regulations, Building Controls, CIBSE. Electricity at Work Act, IEE regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act, and any other Act or EEC Directive that may be implemented for time to time.
  • All Statutory Compliance is aligned with SFG20 standards and BSRIA recommendation.
  • Health and Safety expertise to NEBOSH National General Certificate level or equivalent.
  • Work which is undertaken using CDM regulations is carried out as guided by the HSE codes of practice.
The candidate should demonstrate strong resilience, high level of diplomacy and confidence in managing individuals, comfortable in delivering multiple tasks, projects, and conflicting priorities. Ultimately, self-confident, highly visible to all academic stakeholders, offering an outstanding customer service. This role also involves frequent travel to the academies and therefore a driving licence will be required.
