Do you possess excellent knowledge and skills in Information Technology / Digital industry and think you could engage prison learners with interesting lessons?

Want to change your lifestyle and share your knowledge and skills with others?

If you are as passionate as we are about reducing re-offending and ensuring learners have a positive learning experience, this is a fantastic opportunity for you!

HMP Springhill are recruiting for an innovative and confident person with knowledge of digital communication, online safety, device usage, and accessing digital services to deliver classes to learners across our site.

Teaching experience would be beneficial but is not essential for the role, support and training can be provided to the successful applicant and this will lead to a recognised teaching qualification being gained.

This is an exciting opportunity where you will be creating a positive learning experience for diverse groups of learners within the prison.

You will be helping learners to achieve qualifications they can use to gain employment whilst in custody and upon release. As well as qualifications, you will be supporting learners to build skills and confidence they can apply to other areas of education and employment. As an essential part of the learner’s journey, you can offer your skills and knowledge to guide them successfully through their courses.

MK College will treat all applicants fairly and with respect, irrespective of their background, disability, or any other individual characteristic. We particularly encourage applications from people with backgrounds which are currently under-represented within Milton Keynes College. All offers made to successful candidates are subject to satisfactory outcomes to a range of pre-employment checks including a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS). In addition, security clearance is required for all prison services positions up to Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) level.
