Bolton College is seeking to appoint an outstanding Lecturer B to join our successful Business team.  We offer a wide range of vocational, academic and occupational courses. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Lecturer B to co-ordinate the financial and AAT curriculum in line with local and regional priorities.

   

Ideally, you will have:

  • Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional qualification in the vocational area to teach up to and including Level 5 in Business subjects.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent).
  • Level 2 Maths and English qualifications.
  • Record of comprehensive professional development and industrial updating.
  • Experience of teaching in further education across a range of levels and learner groups including 16-19, 19+ and apprenticeships.
  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance related occupation.
  • Experience of successful course management.
  • Experience of leading and motivating a small team of staff.

 

Day-to-day you will have responsibility:

  • To support the Curriculum Leader by co-ordinating and supervising a small team in the delivery of high quality and inclusive provision within a curriculum area.
  • To deliver high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
  • To support the curriculum management on curriculum and course development.
  • To take part and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
  • Develop resources, support teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required.
  • To support the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
