SALARY: £25.06 - £31.61 PER HOUR (INCLUSIVE OF ENHANCEMENT FOR LEAVE, PLANNING AND PREPARATION) (£29,785 - £37,561 FTE)

START DATE: SEPTEMBER 2024

This is a rare opportunity to join our well-respected and friendly creative arts team as a Sessional/ hourly paid Lecturer in Music. The College has excellent facilities within the music department. There are two recording studios, three rehearsal rooms and a technology suite. Production work is created on PCs using Reaper software.

As well as lecturing, you will be the Course Director for the UAL Level 2 Diploma in Music and teach on Level 2 and 3 UAL programmes in the music department. You must have proven experience of working in the music industry. You must have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, experience of music technology and proven experience of playing a range of instruments to a high level.

Haven't taught before? Don't worry, we will provide you with the support and training to develop your teaching skills as well as obtaining a level 5 teaching qualification within 3 years of joining us. You should also have Level 2 English and Maths (e.g. GCSE A*-C,4/9) or the ability to obtain them.

The College has excellent facilities within the music department. There are two recording studios, three rehearsal rooms and a technology suite. Live gigs take place three times a year and we encourage our learners to develop their performance confidence through work experience opportunities.

Please note that your point on the salary scale will be determined based on both experience and teaching qualifications. Appointments will not normally be made at point 10 or above (£32,384) without a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.
