Role: Trainee Lecturer in Music - INTERNAL ONLY

Location: Tresham College - Kettering Campus

Salary/Benefits: Salary from £31,000 DOE and Qualifications, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teachers pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

Hours/Weeks: 37hrs per Week (1.0 FTE)

About the role:

We have a great opportunity based at one of our Learning Centre Trainer to become part of The Bedford College Group.

As a Trainer, you will play a key role in the success of our students through:
  • Preparing, delivering and assessing subject specialisms on a range of courses.
  • Undertaking course administration as necessary.
  • Contributing to developments within the Programme Area/Centre.
  • Contributing to curriculum development and course leadership where appropriate.
About you:
  • Degree level qualification in Music or Sound related subject
  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 or equivalent
  • Professional Experience of working in the music industry
  • Recent experience as a teacher, trainer or instructor
  • Professional competency on one or more instrument
  • Experience of working constructively to achieve team objectives and deadlines
  • Experience of using IT and a willingness to develop multimedia approaches to learning
  • Experience of preparing organising and directing live shows.
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability consistently to support a high-quality learning experience for all students
  • Ability consistently to create to a welcoming and supportive environment for students and/or customers
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
