Location's: Across Kent

Hours: 08:30 am - 15:30 pm

Placement: Full-time (Monday to Friday) or Day to Day Supply

Pay rate: £85-95 per day

Reed Education are recruiting for Learning Support Assistant's to start in September. Therefore, they are looking for candidates who are passionate about working with secondary aged students and wanting to start their career within the education sector.

Roles and responsibilities:

  1. Supporting Classroom Teachers:

    • LSAs assist classroom teachers in various ways, including helping with student learning, care, and behaviour management.
    • They collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  2. Student Support and Care:

    • LSAs work closely with students, providing individualized support based on their needs.
    • They motivate students to achieve beyond their potential and encourage effective communication.
    • Additionally, LSAs help students understand instructions and promote independence.
  3. Monitoring Progress:

    • LSAs monitor student progress, assess responses to learning activities, and evaluate achievement against pre-determined learning objectives.
    • They provide objective feedback and maintain records of student performance.
  4. Classroom Management:

    • LSAs assist in managing the classroom environment, ensuring a positive and productive atmosphere.
    • They contribute to maintaining discipline, promoting self-control, and fostering independence.
  5. Resource Preparation and Use:

    • LSAs select and prepare resources for learning activities, considering students' interests and backgrounds.
    • They effectively use technology (such as ICT) to support learning and enhance student competence.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:

    • LSAs establish constructive relationships with other professionals and agencies to support student achievement and progress.
    • They liaise with parents, attend development meetings, and contribute to the overall school ethos.

Requirements:

- Strong verbal and written communication.

- Must be happy to pay £38 for an enhanced DBS if you do not have one on the update service.

- Passionate about working in the education sector.

- A minimum of one qualification obtained from school/college or a course.

- You must have right to work in the UK- we do not offer sponsorship.
