Salary: Salary between £22,072 - £25,096 (pro rata) DOE and Qualifications

Hours/Weeks: 22.2 hrs per Week (0.6 FTE)

Contract Type: Permanent - Part-Time

About the role:

We are currently seeking a Centre Administrator to join The Bedford College group at The Corby Sixth Form

As a Centre Administrator you play an important role in the success of our students through:
  • Customer Service and Administrative Activities: Assist the department with a wide range of customer service and administrative tasks, ensuring effective implementation of service standards.
  • First Point of Contact: Represent the Sixth Form by answering telephone inquiries and welcoming visitors.
  • Document Production: Creating professional business documents, including meeting agendas, minutes, letters, emails and reports
  • Software Usage: Utilise various College software packages (such as ProSolution Student Database) as needed.
About you:
  • ITQ Level 2 (IT qualification) or ECDL Level 2 (European Computing Driving Licence) or RSA II (OCR) Word Processing or equivalent
  • Good general education to include English at GCSE grade A*- C or equivalent.
  • Level 2 in Maths/Numeracy (GCSE or equivalent) or willingness to achieve Numeracy Level 2.
  • Experience of working effectively in an office based environment
  • Experience of working effectively in a customer focused environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobs
  • Experience of operating computerised and manual systems
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role
  • Proven ability to manage a busy and varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
