Term Time Only (38 weeks per year)

Here at South Thames College, we are looking to appoint a Learning Facilitator to join our Learning Resource Centre (LRC).

The Learning Resources Centre (LRC) service at South Thames Colleges Group provides resources and support to staff and students through Learning Centres situated at each college site and through digital resources and services delivered across the Group.

Based at South Thames College, Wandsworth, the Learning Facilitator will work in a frontline customer service role, joining the Learning Resources Team to help students and staff to use facilities and resources. You will deliver a high standard of customer service and support and actively encourage the effective use of LRC resources and services. This will include supporting students to use their student systems, digital learning resources and apps. It will also include helping students on a diverse range of courses to find and use resources for their coursework, including books and e-books.

As our Learning Facilitator, we'd like you to hold a Level 3 qualification and have experience of working in a customer focused environment, delivering a good or better level of customer service. You'll have a strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook. We'd also like you to have good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adopt an approachable manner when dealing with customers. Experience of providing technical support to customers is desirable.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.

Closing date for the return of a complete online application is 8th August 2024

The benefits package includes 27 days annual leave plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees' physical and mental health. This leave is all in addition to Bank Holiday entitlement. There is an excellent pension scheme that receives a significant financial contribution from the employer (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities and professional development and training plus a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme. The benefits package will be pro-rata for part time vacancies.
