Do you have a deep love for animals and a desire to share your expertise with aspiring caretakers?

Peterborough College is seeking a passionate Full-Time Animal Care Lecturer to join our dedicated Animal Care and Management team. This is your chance to make a real impact, nurturing the next generation of animal professionals!

What you'll do:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Animal Care courses across various levels, from introductory programs to advanced studies (including the new T Level in Animal Care).

  • Create a supportive and positive learning environment where students can flourish and gain valuable skills.

  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students reach their full potential as animal caretakers.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and maintain a comprehensive Animal Care curriculum.

Who you are:

  • Hold a degree (or HND) in a relevant animal science field, with a strong background in animal husbandry.

  • Possess experience working with a variety of animals, including birds, reptiles, amphibians, and large livestock (a plus!).

  • Have a teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or a willingness to obtain one (we can support you in this!).

  • Be a clear communicator with a passion for teaching and inspiring students.

  • Be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.

  • Be adaptable and able to cater to different learning styles to ensure student success.
