Salary: £33,953 - £39,212

Contract: Fixed Term - 12 months

Location: South Yorkshire

Hours: 37 hours X 52 weeks per year

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to manage and be responsible for a caseload of work-based learners, taking them on a successful and exciting journey to achieve their planned learning programme within the targeted timeframe.

You be involved in implementing continuous improvement strategies and measures to meet the demands of employers in providing a high-quality teaching and learning experience. The role will require you to hold or be work willing to work towards the TAQA Assessor qualification with The Sheffield College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post holders will be required to liaise effectively between College staff, employers and the learner to ensure the achievement of a full work based programmes in a timely and professional manner, building and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • The role will involve initial assessment and the development of individual learning plans, visiting learners on the job, planning and delivering high quality training including qualifications where required, support and assessment of the programme, and preparation for any assessment.
  • Tracking and monitoring the progress of the learner is essential in order to secure achievement of the programme. The Post Holder will use the College's e-portfolio system for this.
  • To ensure the College delivers an outstanding service to learners and employers, the post holder will be expected to take part in quality monitoring and continuous quality improvement activities as outlined in the Quality policy. This may require additional training.
  • Post holders are to promote the take up of apprenticeships, work based programmes and commercial courses in line with the College Growth Strategy and to proactively sustain and develop the work based business of the College in close consultation with the Head of Apprenticeships.
