Engineering Lecturer:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Abingdon & Witney College as a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer. You will be responsible for coaching and assessing full time students and apprentices. You should have the relevant qualifications and/or experience to be able to deliver and assess engineering skills.

As an Engineering Lecturer, you will:
  • Teach Practical Skills: Deliver engaging and informative sessions in the mechanical workshop, focusing on turning, milling, fitting, and sheet metal techniques.
  • Develop Course Material: Create and update teaching materials, lesson plans, and practical exercises that meet industry standards and curriculum requirements.
  • Assess and Support Students: Evaluate student progress through practical assessments, provide constructive feedback, and support students in their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other lecturers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and support the engineering department.
You don't need to be a qualified assessor or teacher - we will support you in achieving the necessary qualifications. We just ask that you are motivated by helping others to learn, and that you really want to make a difference to people's lives.
