Position: Lecturer in Construction & The Built Environment

Salary: £29,820 - £36,749

Contract: Permanent

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 37 hours per week X 52 weeks

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated construction and built environment lecturer to support in growing our educational programmes. This role is for anyone who is passionate about shaping the future of construction and has expertise in Design, Planning and Surveying. The department is going from strength to strength and has an inspiring team-work ethic. This post will involve the delivery of our T-Level in design and surveying as well BTEC qualifications alongside administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lectures and practical sessions in Construction Design, Planning and Surveying
  • Develop and update course materials to ensure alignment with industry and awarding organisation standards
  • Assess and support students in their academic and practical work
  • Maintain up to date tracking and monitoring of student progress
  • Collaborate with industry partners to enhance course relevance and student employability.
Skills & Knowledge

  • Relevant teaching experience with levels 1-4 (T-Level experience is highly desirable)
  • Level 5 qualification in Construction and the built environment, design, surveying & planning or other related qualifications and/or industry experience
  • Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
  • Proven experience in the construction industry
