About the role:
  • As a Lecturer for Motor Vehicles (Mechanical) at our Bedford Campus you will play a pivotal role in the success of the students through:
  • Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying light vehicle maintenance & repair technology and practice on a range of courses and levels.
  • supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
  • Managing students' learning and provide a high quality learning experience.
  • Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
  • Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
About you:
  • Level 3 relevant qualification
  • Willingness to achieve Certificate in Education or equivalent
  • Willingness to achieve Assessor/Verifier qualifications
  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one yearRecent experience of teaching and assessing on a range programmes and levels
  • Knowledge of the current developments in own specialist area
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role
  • Evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobs
  • Ability to make a positive contribution to the team, valuing and respecting others' expertise and contribution
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels
