About the role:

We are looking for a Lecturer to join our Motor Vehicle Department. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of the students through:

Curriculum Design and Planning:
  • Develop relevant learning programs and schemes of work.
  • Plan individual lessons and activities aligned with syllabus objectives.
  • Create and organize learning resources.
  • Arrange work experience opportunities.
Classroom Management and Safety:
  • Maintain a positive learning environment by managing learner behavior.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance through risk assessments.
  • Efficiently utilize learning resources.
Effective Teaching and Learning Delivery:
  • Monitor attendance and address absences.
  • Set clear lesson objectives.
  • Engage learners with well-sequenced activities.
  • Provide differentiated learning experiences.
  • Optimize session time and encourage learner participation.
  • Adapt teaching based on feedback and evaluation.
Assessment and Record Keeping:
  • Conduct initial assessments for course placement.
  • Design and assess assignments using approved criteria.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner assessments.
  • Collaborate with external bodies as needed.
Additional Duties:
  • Actively participate in team meetings.
  • Contribute to course coordination and development.
  • Fulfill administrative and pastoral responsibilities.
  • Safeguard learners and promote equality.
About you:
  • Teaching qualification equivalent to Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (or willingness to work towards)
  • Level 2 or above qualification in Maths or English related subject
  • Assessor Award (or willingness to work towards)
  • Up to date industry standard vocational skills and commitment to continue to maintain them
  • Experience working in the relevant industry
  • Good personal and interpersonal and communication skills
  • To champion Quality Assurance procedures and have the confidence to work within a target driven environment
  • Ability to teach using a range of approaches in teaching and learning
  • Relevant and up to date knowledge of Quality Assurance systems as they apply in the industry
