Within the range of £26,367 to £39,876 per annum
35 hours per week, 52 weeks a year

An opportunity has arisen for a committed professional to join our existing team IT team. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Lecturer to join our team and deliver high-quality teaching to our IT provision which comprises Level 2 Transition program and T-Level qualification in Digital production, design and development. The successful candidate will have expertise in programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, PHP and HTML, and will be responsible for preparing and delivering engaging lessons that align with the T-Level curriculum.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for Level 2 Transition and T-Level IT courses.

● Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and learning objectives.

● Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations.

● Provide mentorship and support to students, fostering a positive and effective learning environment.

● Stay updated with industry trends and integrate relevant knowledge into teaching materials.

● Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and curriculum development.

 

You should have a degree in a related area (or an equivalent professional qualification) or relevant industry experience, and a teaching qualification or a commitment to obtaining one within a specified time after commencement. We expect a good standard of education including Maths and English to Level 2 or above. You may also be required to undertake relevant quality assurance training and certification to meet awarding body requirements for assessment and internal verification of student work.
