About the role:

We are looking for a Training Coordinator join our Motorsport Department. As a Co-ordinator you will play a pivotal role in the success of the College through:
  • Supporting apprentices in the work place and college setting, enabling them to develop the relevant skills, knowledge and core competencies that will lead to the successful completion of their apprenticeship
  • Ensuring that apprentice progress is tracked robustly through each stage of their programme, mapping across all components of their framework or standard, using the OneFile eportfolio system.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with employers and classroom-based tutors to ensure regular communication about apprentice performance and progress.
  • Delivering the Engineering Operative L2 Standard, covering engineering skills that lend themselves to the motor industry and include skills development in a maintenance or technical support role (as outlined in the Apprenticeship standard - see link) - https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/engineering-operative-v1-0
  • Supporting full time motorsport students with finding work placement opportunities
  • Ensuring that all motorsport work placements are logged on GroFar and appropriate health and safety checks are carried out
About you:
  • A qualification at level 3 or above in the relevant vocational subject specialism
  • English and Mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent.
  • TAQA L3/L4 or equivalent qualification or be willing to work towards
  • Experience of working in the relevant vocational industry
  • Experience of training groups of learners/apprentices
  • Experience of assessing learner's skills development and measuring workplace behaviours
  • Evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobs
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to confidently support learners via the telephone, face-to-face, email or other electronic methods
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure and be self-motivated using initiative
