OVERVIEW: ENGINEERING TUTOR

We are currently seeking an engineering professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of qualifications, for a well-established training provider.

The Engineering Tutor role will require you to be involved in teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking L3 & L4 qualifications. You will be a time served Engineer and will be required to teach a range of engineering units which may include areas of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Principles and Mathematics.

Ideally you will have experience delivering further education engineering qualifications in a previous role, and will possess a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above).

THE ROLE OF ENGINEERING TUTOR

To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility. Training learners in the centre towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.

We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player and have a 'hands on approach' to work within this rewarding environment.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: ENGINEERING TUTOR

• Minimum 5 years' relevant occupational experience within engineering
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Experience of working with young people

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: ENGINEERING TUTOR

• Level 4 (or above) occupational qualification in engineering
• Teaching qualification
• This position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance
