Music Lecturer

About the role

You will lead and inspire the next generation of music talent through your planning and delivery of the music curriculum. You will mark and assess learner projects, setting high expectations and motivating them to be the best that they can be. You will be a role model, providing our learners with innovative, practical and employment-led training.

Essential skills will be to have up-to-date knowledge and understanding of sequencing and recording, with suitable related experience.

Desirable skills would include an understanding of music theory, ability to play an instrument and knowledge of the music industry.

You will collaborate with others to share best practices and ensure that our learners get the highest quality experience. You will work with experienced, passionate tutors as well as within a support service provided by our Central Team. Working at Access Creative College means working with learners who are engaged, enthusiastic and passionate about the education they are gaining.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills which will help you to effectively manage the delivery of high-quality lessons and Schemes of Work. and to organise internal and external examination/assessment-related administration including the moderation and verification of coursework and internal course assessments.

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related subject area and Maths and English qualifications at level 2 or above. A teaching qualification is desirable but if you don't have one, we will pay for you to get one and provide you with time to study!

What We Offer

Salary Scale: £22,308 to £25,157 pro rata per annum, depending on skills qualifications and experience .
