Work Based Tutor – Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, Paint or Body & Repair

37 hours per week

£25,975.00 to £30,700.00 per annum

Bolton College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Work Based Tutor to work in our highly successful apprentice team based in the Motor Vehicle department. You will co-ordinate, recruit, manage, train and assess apprentices, both in college and in the workplace.

Ideally you will have:

• Current experience with apprentices and knowledge of new standards desirable but full training and mentoring will be provided.
• Excellent communication skills, organising and planning skills. 
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or Paint or Body Repair
• Relevant professional teaching/training qualification
•  An assessors’ award or a willingness to work towards.

Day to day you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring progress of the apprentice standards in line with qualification requirements.
• You will be responsible for regular liaison with employers and course tutors.
• You will support and contribute to the achievement of Bolton College’s business and quality targets involving recruitment of new Apprentices.
