About the role:
Activate Learning have an exciting opportunity for a casual tutor to join our well-established Learning for Leisure team based in Reading College.
A skilled and experienced individual, you will be responsible for the delivery a of brand-new short course in carpentry for the film industry. The course is specifically aimed at adults looking to upgrade their skills with the focus on film set building, requiring the tutor to have practical carpentry and prop-making experience within the film industry.
This post is on a casual basis and the course is run over 4 evenings for a total of 12hrs. As a Casual Tutor, there may be opportunities to deliver further courses within our team.
What do you need to be successful as a Learning for Leisure Tutor at Activate Learning?
You will have sound knowledge and experience of set construction and prop building within the film industry and be confident in delivering engaging and informative practical sessions to a range of adult learners.
In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
