Location: Rossington, Doncaster
Salary: Up to 14 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, split shifts (alternate weeks 6am-2pm & 11am-7pm)
Start Date: ASAP
Position: Long-term, with potential for a temp-to-perm opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker for a full-time position in the Rossington area of Doncaster. This role requires someone who can work split shifts, covering both early mornings and late afternoons, to ensure the smooth running of the school premises throughout the day. This is a vital role within our school community, where you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Daily opening and securing of the school premises.
• General maintenance and minor repairs around the school, ensuring safety and functionality.
• Conducting regular health and safety checks and ensuring all areas comply with required regulations.
• Cleaning and tidying of key areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Supporting the school in setting up for events or activities.
• Monitoring school grounds and addressing any immediate concerns or hazards.
• Liaising with external contractors for larger maintenance issues.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a caretaker, facilities, or maintenance role.
• Ability to work split shifts, covering both early mornings and late afternoons.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Practical skills for general repairs and maintenance.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
