Job Title English and Maths Assessor

Wirral Metropolitan College is looking for a English and Maths Assessor to join our English and Maths team. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent/role offering a salary of £24,666 to £26,062 (pro rata) per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment of learners English and Maths working levels
• Coordinate with other college departments involved with learner applications and enrolment
• Place learners in appropriate level groups
• Arrange learners' assessments

Skills and Qualifications:

• Appropriate qualification in English / maths assessment, at minimum L3 or above, e.g. Educational Guidance, support or teaching.
• Experience of assessment in an education or training setting
• Able to demonstrate effective interpersonal and liaison skills; effective oral and written communication skills.
• Sensitivity towards non-confident learners and awareness of cultural barriers.
