  • Class Coverage: Lead the classroom during the teacher's absence, ensuring a productive learning atmosphere.
  • Interventions: Conduct small and large group interventions focused on literacy and numeracy skills, tailored to meet diverse student needs.
  • Behaviour Management: Apply effective strategies to foster respect and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Individual Support: Provide targeted assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), promoting inclusivity.
  • Communication: Keep open lines of communication with teachers, parents, and support staff regarding student progress and concerns.
  • Safeguarding: Adhere to safeguarding policies to ensure student well-being.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 12 weeks of experience working with children in a UK school.
  • Training: Recent safeguarding training preferred; some training will be provided.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, you must:

  • Have the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide two professional references from childcare or educational settings.
