South Eastern Regional College (SERC) is recruiting for a new Principal and Chief Executive to deliver our vision and to provide strategic leadership and direction within Further and Higher Education.

SERC is Northern Ireland's top performing Further Education College, renowned for its innovation, performance, and commitment to transforming lives through education and training. With 20,000 enrolments annually across seven campuses, SERC plays a vital role as a delivery partner for the Department for the Economy’s ‘Delivering the Economic Vision’ strategy by the provision high-quality vocational, technical, and professional education across the south-eastern region.

SERC is a driver of innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development, ensuring students and businesses are equipped to meet the challenges of a dynamic, evolving marketplace.

As the Principal and Chief Executive, you will lead on the delivery of SERC’s strategic objectives and mission of shaping an innovative and entrepreneurial society. Critically you will continue to build and maintain collaboration and partnerships within the education sector and across industry, ensuring continued success for the College.  You will ensure SERC continues to deliver the best possible outcomes for learners within a supportive learning environment demonstrating value for money and exemplary governance.

The role does not necessitate experience in the education sector but does require an experienced senior leader with experience of leading enhanced performance and organisational change, a demonstrable track record of financial management, leading within corporate governance systems and an ability to collaborate at a senior level in the development of strategy and associated operational plans.
