Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in a SEN School in South Bristol. The school are looking for full time and part time people.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support children and young people in Key Stage 2 to 4 who have autism and related social, emotional, and mental health challenges. These needs can significantly impact their emotional well-being and create barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the educational and emotional needs of students with autism and associated challenges.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).

  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create tailored strategies for student success.
  • Engage with families to support student development and encourage their involvement in the school community.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to support their ongoing development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are desirable.
