Teacher of PE

Are you an engaging and active PE Teacher seeking a full-time, long-term position in September? If yes, we have a great opportunity for you! A school in Grimsby are seeking a teacher to facilitate PE lessons to students in KS3 - KS5.

The responsibilities of the role, include the following:

  • Deliver high-quality practical PE lessons to students in Y9 - Y11.
  • Teaching PE Theory to KS5 students.
  • Encourage students to develop knowledge and understanding of different sports and movements.
  • Development knowledge on the human body, fitness, and how it works.
  • Collaborate with the PE department, contributing ideas on ways pupils can achieve their potential.
  • Uphold high expectations of students and implement behavioural policies.
  • Always follow safeguarding procedures.
  • During your placement, you will also need to cover some lessons in IT.

The role starts in September and is expected to last until at least Christmas.

The position is paid to scale which means you will be paid a daily rate of .62.

During your time at the school, we will support you through CPD training from the National College. You will also be assigned a consultant that will assist with needs and offer new opportunities once your commitment is finished.

  • QTS and a specialist in Physical Education.
  • Experience in secondary schools.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Satisfactory references.
  • Child only enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to undertake one)
