Role: Teacher of Special Education Needs
Location: Greater Manchester
Rate of pay 30 - 35 per hour (36 hours paid)
Type: Temporary

Eden Brown are looking for a teacher of Special Education Needs on behalf of a leading Further Education College in Greater Manchester.

This is a temporary part time role of 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday to cover sickness.

You will be teaching EHCP learners with learning disabilities at Entry level on a range of different sessions, including initial and baseline assessments.
Sessions include Enterprise, Community, Cooking, Co-creation, Communication, literacy and numeracy.

The successful candidate will also plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with EHCPs
Monitor and assess progress, adapting teaching methods to suit each learner's requirements
Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and review EHCPs
Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
Provide pastoral care and ensure safeguarding policies are followed
Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP annual reviews

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A teaching qualification (CertEd, QTS, or equivalent)
Experience working with young people with SEND, ideally within an FE setting
A strong understanding of EHCP processes and the ability to differentiate learning
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to inspire, motivate, and support students with diverse learning needs

A current DBS on the update is also needed for this role.
